my intentions really were to be better about posting but if you notice up to the right there near the top of the screen the addition of a new heading labeled pinterest......i know i said i was not going to give in to social media and get a pinterest account because it required a tether of facebook or twitter, two things i am toatlly not into......and well, i lied.

i have been busy both pinning and go forbid the countless shots of meals and moments on you bet....instagram. so if you are inclined to be bored by my dailies and "likes" you can find me at both forums as annladson....................there, i've come clean.
anyway, here are 5 things i have on my mind this morning, heading in to a HOT weekend of the Great Indoors.......projects and cold beverages.

the weather was beautiful up in virginia this weekend, we a had such a great time at wedding celebration V2.0 and i met lots of interesting friends of both husband and his family....really nice weekend, and i am so glad my parents came. they really enjoyed themselves as well.

okay, so there were definitely a bunch of undercover acquisitions around the wedding that i have not yet revealed and will get to, but first i must mention this new soap i just scored.  
PREFACE: I am one of those people that loves a yummy smelling soap that lingers after your shower, and i have been known to both gift and hoard it!

now, that's out, i found this while i was looking for "tops" the other day at Marshall's and accidentally purchased this, some white premium denim and a candle for my bathroom.
it smells so good, i can't wait to lather up in the morning. triple milled, soft delicious, NYC soap, holla!

and the box is pretty cool too, so i am using it as a catch all by my sink, hence the earrings i just dumped out of it lying next to it.

ever since the hb and i moved into our house we have spoken about a fan in the master bedroom, well, finally a few weeks ago, i found what i thought was a steal and ordered a westinghouse 3 blade all metal industrial fan. i love the lack of chains hanging down and the somewhat outdated wall control is sort endearing. it goes up to 5 but 3 is plenty as far as i am concerned, this thing WORKS!

so, i called the electrician twice and he still has not returned my call, so yesterday when i was supposed to be riding and the weather was not having it (what is with all this rain this time of year?) i decided to try and tackle installation on my own.

well, low and behold we have a winner!! it's awesome, and i cannot stop admiring it. did i mention the fan cost $60.00?? yes, deal!

melbourne based architecture firm Six Degrees designed this space, i think it is super rad. would you live in this space?

it is my ultimate dream to renovate or live in an industrial space, this definitely feels like just that!

Saturday morning rode 53 miles from the house out and back, great pace and felt really strong

Saturday afternoon we went to the Piccolo Finale at Hampton Park which included picnic blankets, live reggae and motown (awesome) and food trucks!

i, of course brought a bottle of rose (sssshhhh, not allowed) in this amazing new swell thermos my sister and h gave us as a wedding gift as part of an awesome picnic set (sweet, only waited 36 years for a big girl picnic basket)!

and on sunday, i never changed out of my nightgown, but stayed home all day working on putting away wool clothes, hanging curtains, repotting plants, and giving myself a new manicure and pedicure (cue the redneck phot of my hand around a tall boy can of miller high life)
i have been accenting just my ring finger on my left hand to showcase my new married status (i'm not on facebook, how else are people to know??)
the orange pink color is marmalade from revlon and the blue is dreamer also from revlon.

here is to kicking off a good productive week!

so sorry i have been gone so long, we have been crazy busy since the wedding and things are starting to slow down a bit, hb (no longer bf) and i have some fun plans for a chill weekend. here is a quick shot from work of my current manicure, i have been dabbling in some new colors, today i have grey and a kiss of yellow on one finger to accentuate my new blinged ring finger. i promise next week i will be back on track. what do you have planned for the weekend?
