adrift designs

check out this cool spot in atlanta, i love all the textures and colors and mix of style.

this house designed by christopher polly and located in australia is one of the cleanest, coolest use of space homes that literally opens up and feels as though you are living with nature. amazing work

fuck yeah!

i have been busy, hardly time to even sit at the computer, and my dang shoulder is definitely not happy about the move and/or the two weekends of projects, so until i get better, there will not be anymore projects. like the closing lawyer said, we will be paying for this house til 2042, i think that gives me plenty of time to get most of the prospective projects and a few others knocked out!
in the meantime, let me quickly share the project that could not wait 24 hours after closing.

when we first walked up to the house, i loved most of it just as it was, this was the largest exception to that statement. the size, style and everything about these was just "off" for the house. so before i put up temporary fencing for the yard, these were switched out!!
BEFORE
and AFTER
much better, now i can use the front door without loathing..............

today, bf (future husband) and i bought a house, it is so great and lovely, i could not be happier, stay tuned for many a projects, i got lots of befores yesterday prior to moving anything over!!

this super awesome modern house has me yearning...... bf and i picked up dwell the other day and it is all modern prefab, me likey!!

when bf and i finally find "the house" it will be the first time i completely let loose and start digging holes. i love plants, and flowers, but more so plants, and i have tons and tons of pots, just ask my friends and movers that have helped me move the last 4 or 5 times, they'll tell you!
but this will mark the first time that i have total disregard for the not so distant future and start putting them in the ground. i have dabbled in planting in the ground, but reserved my favorites for what have become increasingly larger and larger pots as they mature because i did not want to part with them. i look at plants as pets and monitor their growth like a proud mum with a child in kindergarten. once i own the joint it's gonna get jungly up in this piece. here i come jungle of the month award!
these photos were taken from one of my favorite photographers laure joliet, she does work for NYT, and conveys space very well, one talented woman
